rims - quick question
I am thinking of getting new rims (OE GT500 - Black) to replace my stock set. How much does everyone think I can get for my old set?

Id say 500 with tires not including shipping...how much tread left on the tires? Any flaws in the rims?
maybe a bit more for the tread....here is what this guy is selling just the rims for....400 dollars and 475 shipped so maybe 600 to 650 shipped if in perfect condition

I'm in the process of selling my stock fan blades and have already sold the tires separately. I had the rims priced at $500 and only a few people were biting with no takers so I've dropped them to $300 just to get them out of my hair. Go to tirerack's website and see what yours sell for new. I priced mine at about 50%.

People want stock rims for a few reasons. Either they need some winter beaters, they have a v6 with standard rims, or they need some racing wheels. Either way, they're not going to want to pay a lot for stock wheels.

(200*4)+(100*4)= $1200 - $600 (cost on the stock ones) so it would be around $600 out of pocket for a new set of rims. Not including mounting and balancing.
EDIT: Maybe I can get the $450 back from ford for the wheel and tire warranty package (covers anything that could happen to the rim or tire). So it would be $150 out of pocket for those rims.
EDIT2: I may just stick with stock. The only reason I would want to upgrade is maybe upgrading the front brakes, but like others have said stock is fine. My whole idea is to make my car a sleeper, really no appearance mods (except for a few), but a whole lot of performance. We will see how that goes in the next few years though...
