Default 18 or 20 question

Ok, here's my dilemma. My car is not lowered and never will be. I like 18 inch rims because there's plenty of tire sidewall which results in a softer ride and a more muscular look. However, I also like the look of 20's but there just doesn't seem to be enough rubber on the rim. Please tell me how much sidewall I can get on a 20" rim? Pictures would be great.

You can get plenty of sidewall on 20's....these are 40 series, 255 and 295. Mine will never be lowered either....

Yeah, you can definitely get plenty of rubber on a 20". Mine are 265/35 which is pretty much stock overall diameter but 40-45 series looks damn good.

MLCRYCC, thanks for the pictures they really help. Please tell me about your wheels as in who makes them and what are the widths of the rims? Also, what brand tires are those?
