Default Ford GT

The salesman who sold me my stang called me Friday and told me they just took delivery of the 1 GT they are getting this year. It's blue with white stripes. He asked me if I was interested.....I asked him what the sticker was....$164,000.00. Then I asked him what they would take for it, he said $300,000.00....He told me other dealers have been calling them to offer between 225 and 250 just to have more than 1 on the show room floor....I guess I don't feel to bad paying msrp for my vert....lol

haha yep, same here, the 1 that a local dealer got was msrp at 165,000 and sold for 225,000 i think. he also said that it got around 4 mpg... but i guess if u can pay more for ur car than most of us pay for houses, then the gas bill wont bother you.

Wow...one local dealer? Geesh there were 4 dealers here that had them. And yes, they sold for outrageous prices. Although I was talking to a salesman last week and he said the one they had only sold for $214K. The other places I am pretty sure got $225k + for theirs.

Hawgman, there are other dealers in the area that have them, but this dealership is getting only 1. I guess that's why they are holding out for more moola...

Hope they don't hold out for too much. One dealer here was trying to get $285K for one, that was the dealer that sold for the lowest price. Greedy bastages.

I talked to a couple dealers around here, and they said that most dealers only get one GT for the year to sell.... and the dealership owner's usually buy them.

My dealership, Dale Jarrett Ford has one on the floor right now, their third. The first was a gift to Matt Kenseth from Ford for winning the points championship in 2003. The second sold to a German collector for $275,000. The third is for sale if you have more money laying around than you know what to do with. The roof comes up to my belt buckle. At 6'3" I couldn't drive it if they gave it to me.
