shorties are short lol....supposidly you dont gain much with them but who knows...people say they are more for looks and sound. As far as longtubes go you will get some decent power out of them depending on your mods. If you want to go real expensive I have heard nothing but good things about American Racing and Kooks. If you want to go a little cheaper id say Macs or JBAs

Long tubes provide better flow and more potential power, but also cost more. Power gained would be determined by how much "flow" you have going through your engine. Example: Supercharger

Kooks, ARH are about the best quality you can buy. Mac and BBK are pretty good for the price. but whatever you get, go w/ ceramic coating, helps preserve your investment, it's money well spent.

if emissions are not an issue, i would go w/ the LT's.

Save yourself some time and money, get a tune and intake right away. For about the cost of just long tubes (not including mid pipe and installation) you can get around 25+ RWHP.

http://www.brenspeed.com/05-08-musta...r-package.html

If you still want headers, I'd say go ahead and get the tune and intake first. Brenspeed and Bamachips are the two highest recommended tuners for our cars. If you get your tune and intake from Brenspeed, then decide to get headers from them too, they will give you free tunes for life on products purchased from them. They sell BBK, MAC, and KOOKS LT headers. Take a look around that site.

I got 310hp/325tq out of JLT2 cold air intake, SCT2 tune (evolution), and SLP long tube headers with SLP xpipe... I love it, sounds amazing and definatly gave me some good power.
