Default Rim Question (updated with pics)

Well, in short, I scored a used set of the gt500 brakes for very cheap. I originally was going to get the newer pads and etc for the GT calibers, but for the price I couldn't turn this down. So now I need to find new rims.

I did a search on Tirerack, but the rims for 18s are very limited.

I also tried American Muscle and I was going to go there, but I read a post through another forum (while searching for GT500 rim suggestions) that stated to beware of those rims due to there quality issues :/

So...What offset, and other rim characteristics are need to fit the bigger rotor/caliper?

I bought GT500 lookalikes from O.E. Wheels direct about three years ago and have had no problems at all with them. They were fantastic to work with. http://www.oewheelsdirect.com/ Also MRT http://store.mrt-direct.com/ Is selling brand new take off GT500 wheels from the KR conversions. These are the real ones. But if you go with another wheel you need to find one with I believe a 44mm offset

44s are ok for the rear but you need a lower offset up front 20-30 up front

What does everyone think of these from AM (nevermind the quality issues, if any) for the back and front (255s all around):

As far as looks, I think the black ones would look sharp on your car. I just looked up the GT500 wheel offset, and it is 45mm. Here is a site for alternate wheels to fit the Shelby http://www.vintagevenom.com/wheel-options

Thanks for the suggestions and advice. I didn't realize how hard it would be to get get a nice set of rims to fit the brake kit.

My wife says silver would look better, but I think black with the silver outline would look best. I wish theres a place around here that stocks them so I can see them up close :/

I really don't want to go bigger than 18 cause this will be a DD and plus these will also be for the winter unless they make 18 in steelies that clear the big breaks :P

Decisions...decisions...

Update: Well, I ordered the Black GT4 Wheel (18x9) all around with NITTO Extreme Performance NT555 Tire (255/45-18). I looked a couple of mustangs that had it, and it looked pretty good. I was going to go staggered, but I changed my mind since this is my DD and wanted to rotate every once in a while.

Current rims are in the F/S section

I agree, but its hard to fit (without spacers)

Note: We have found that this GT500 GT Big Brake Kit will not fit any of our Bullitt wheels or the FR500 wheels. It will fit our 18x9 GT4 and 18x9.5 Shelby GT500 wheels designed for the 2005+ Mustangs. All other wheels should be test fit to ensure proper fitment.
