Hey guys, I had ordered a painted Cervini's cowl hood, but they are now not able to ship it due to some packing material backorder. They've given me a chance to second guess my purchase, so I think I'm going to cancel the order and go with a carbon fiber hood instead:



I also have sitting here a set of 17" Hot Wheels Sixty-Eight wheels in chrome that I got for a great price and thought they'd look nice on the slick black car. However, if I get the carbon fiber hood I'm thinking the chrome wheels will look dumb because the car will look more business than show. I can get a set of the black sixty-eights with a polished lip instead. I've already made the decision on the wheel style, so I'm not asking if you like them or not. This is a color thing...

Thoughts on the black car with carbon fiber hood with black/polished-lip or chrome wheels? Thanks!

Yeah I think I'm with you man. Discount Tire Direct is literally blowing out the black Sixty-Eights for $55 each, which is ridiculous. The chrome ones are only $65. AND theres a $50 instant coupon on the web with free shipping. I got those 4 chrome ones for $227. I think I'll return them however, and buy the black instead.

 

if u do get black wheels Id go with 18'' because 20'' are gonna look really strange with a cowl hood and drag-like looks, btw im goin with shelby black DD bullitts from tire rack with KDW2. The total is somewhere around 1600 with a discount code.

 

20's are out of the question for me, I just don't like them at all. I really wanted 17s. I prefer the muscle car look with more tire and less rim.

I'm going to send back the chrome ones, and I've just ordered 4 of the 17" Sixty-Eights in black for a grand total of $184.20 shipped to my door. Thats crazy cheap! They are 17x9 with a 45 mm backspacing, so they should fit perfect. I'll put some 255/50/17s on there, and might consider doing one step wider on the back.

Thanks man, yeah they're pretty cool I think. They weren't my #1 choice (I kind of like the Steeda Pentars)
however I just bought all 4 of them for about $75 less than a single Pentar would cost me, lol.
They are blowing them out for about 1/2 off. So what the heck, I'll give em a try...
