I have a sixxer and I desperately want white racing stripes. I was planning on ordering them from baltimorestreetmods.com and getting them installed by a body shop. Today I went to get an estimate and he said that it would be roughly 375 bucks for installation. Is that too steep? How much should I be lookin' at?

Second question... How far apart are the stripes on most Mustangs such as this one?

 

dude... are you going to change ur body at all, because you should be able to get some painted stripes for no more then double that, thats paint and labor shouldnt run you more then 800 for painted ones, especially in todays economy... and painted stripes will last forever, vinyl will peel and tear after a couple years...

 

+1, if thats the quote youre getting on stripe install, id just get them painted. you'd probably only pay another 100 or 200 dollars to get them painted and they would last as long as you have your car

Tipical gap is about 1" to 2" and the stripes them self's are 10" wide each.

As far as painting them, it will run you around $800 without clearing the body panels or if you want to have them clear the full body panels it will run you around $1500. Clearing the full body panels will mean you will not have any edges you can feel from the stripe. With out you will have edges

 

Is it horribly hard to install vinyls yourself? Because I thought about it a bit and if I could save a few hundred bucks I would, but at the same time I don't wanna mess up.
