Default question about automatic and nitrous

do people with auto and nitrous or supercharges run their cars with o/d on or off?i was told by a transmission shop to start running the car with o/d off when i go to the track.i know there has been alot of back and forth with this question but i havent found a finall answer.what do you recommend.the shop told me that yes the o/d is 5th gear but when on is working all the time even from 1st to 4th,this is why if your in 2nd and you turn it off youll see a change in rpms.what do you guys think.

I have not tried at the track with it on. but i never turn it off on the street.I don't know if there is any proof that it slows the car down.

I usually turn it off, but I really haven't noticed any difference on those passes where I left the OD on.

I'm actually pretty interested in this...I have an auto and want to know if there is any proof that o/d being on or off has made a difference

i run mine off at the track, spray from the launch to the end and it has worked pretty good so far. i noticed a bit slower times leaving it on, car pulls harder at the end when left in 4th. might not be that much of a difference but at the track every bit helps
