Default looking at an 05 gt

hey everyone im kind of new to this forum i usually post on 3.8mustang.com but I am selling my 97 v6 and probably getting an 05 gt, is there anything i should know about these car? ive been doing lots of searching and reading on the newer cars and they sound great ive already taken it for a test drive and love it so far. The car is red its a 5 speed with 27,000 miles on it and i am probably going to get it for $15,000. Also what brand of headers do most of you guys buy for your s197's? didnt have many choices for the v6 it was pretty much just mac when i bought them now they have one more choice haha. Well let me know what you guys think im sure ill be posting more on here soon.

For what it's worth...I've seen new ones in the paper lately for $17,000. Obviously not many options, but they were GT's.

I have an 05 GT and have 2 friends that both have 05' GT's and we have all done different minor cosmetic and performance mods... all of us have between 20-50k miles and neither of the 3 cars have ever had a single problem! Sounds like a good deal... and welcome to the Forums!

Wow great price....now I'm depressed..just kidding.
Bought my '05 GT 5-speed new 4 years ago and only thing broke was the seat release on passenger's side.

Good luck with your purchase.

That sounds like a pretty good deal on a 2005! Not many are still stock, so it would be interesting to know if there are any mods on it.

The 2005 GT is lighter than later models and has a bit more power. They also don't have those dreaded TPMS's that the new Mustangs (or any cars) have now, so you can get new rims for cheaper and not have to buy the bands.

Glad to see your looking to get a S197 GT. If you want to look at some pictures, i just put a link up to some of my car. Not sure which red you were looking at, they come in a dark like candy apple red, and then mine which is torch red, very bright red.

Either way stop by and take a look at my thread with the pictures of my car, might help. Also 08 GT 15K miles and no problems so far. Great car.
