My friend had a dakota R/T with a K&N intake, His would fall off all the time. We put thin strip of duct tape around where the filter meets the intake to give it "BITE" and it never fell off since. We made the strip thin enough so you wouldn't see it

The other night it was nice so I was out with some friends screwing around, burning my expensive tires off, drawing circles in a parking lot, etc, and I got home and popped the hood and the intake was off at the throttle body! Never got a code, never noticed a change in performance or anything.. surprised the hell outta me. It was only off on the top and only about a quarter inch, but nevertheless, air was getting in that was not going past the maf sensor.. I pushed it back on and tightened it up.. should hold til the supercharger goes in.. haha.
