ohhh. u want to play thatgame do ya! lol, just playin dude, yea the venom hood and gt500 front end does look sick, so that you have, but i think as long as you swap out the front fascia, the GTS III hood can look sick on a regular GT, or in my case a V6. if you run the GTS III hood on a stock gt front bumper, it throws the look off balance IMO

I have the GTS3 and love the new look and with the new hoods if I am correct they are prepped and ready for paint before you had to have it prepped for paint should be alot easier.

You can get the GTSIII with the twist pins for the hood locks.

ur scoops look bigger because since ur hood is already black, the shadows make it look deeper, nice front dude!

Trufiber offers a version of the hood with "recesses" in it for the twist-pins. And they sell the twist-pins separately...

http://www.trufiber.com/Trufiber_Mus...024-a44-lp.htm

I'm putting one of these on my Roush in the Spring... anyone who has comments on the cost & amount of work involved once you have the hood - please tell me what to expect.

Hood-$900 from TruFiber
Parts for the GT500 conversion (not sure if you are doing this or not) $1450 approx

For me, paint for Gt500 front end, prep and paint for hood, and striping of entire car $2600. If you are going the TruFiber route, you need NXT hood shocks if you want to not use the prop stick and you would be smart to get the brackets painted at the same time (about $100 from memory) and depending on which hood you get, you likely will need the hood pins (they went for $104 at www.cobranda.com) but that was before TruFiber started selling them with a bracket on his site. The hood itself....that is the real question. Many have received hoods that were not the greatest upon arrival. Mine required more than a 'little' work, but as long as you are prepaired for the possiblity of that, your good. But rest assured, it isnt going to arrive ready for primer and paint. That I guarentee. Too many others have had to have a ton of work to make theirs right. I myself thought I got a really high quality one, but in the end, it required more than just a little effort to make it right:

Ssooo...around $4200(?) all done, but that was with the addition of stripes and an entire front end changeover for me and you may choose to pass on the hood shocks. I did my purchases over a few months too so I didnt feel the money pain that dramatically either.

BUT, when your done, you get this:

Thanks Andretti... your car looks absolutely AWESOME! I was thinking about $1000 for prep/paint/fitment above and beyond the price of the hood. I'll only be doing the hood as I don't want to change the Roush front fascia... so you're guessing I will spend 2X or 3X that much on the prep/paint/fit ??

Thanks again!
