Default Curb rash..

So I have the black bullits with the chrome rim along the outside edge. Curb rash'd. Previous owner did two of them, I nuked the other two. In my defense the 235mm pirellis don't provide much protection on a 9" rim. Still my fault though.

Is there anything I can do about this without replacing the whole wheel? Are there any paints I could use that would brush on easy and might blend the damage in better?

Maybe a silver sharpie or some sort of pen like that would help. Never seen one for sale though.

I have a black glossy pen that I use on my black rifles to cover up scratches. But this is chrome, not black enamel.

If you have a metal shop in your area you can take it to them to see if they can polish it out, but if its in deep, then it will be very difficult/impossible.

It's deep. That's why I was wondering about a way to maybe blend it in better.

the only thing I know to do is possibly call some wheel shops in your area and ask them the question to see if they can recommend a fix....there should be someone in your area that can point you in the right direction

good luck

When my wife rashed my wheel, I got a estimate at an area wheel shop for $150 to repair one wheel. IMO it may be less expensive to just buy new like I did.

Hi Rip, I have a link from a website I found a long time ago, I hope this helps. http://www.audiworld.com/tech/ext43.shtml
also, if you don't want to try fixing it yourself, there is a wheel repair web site, I think they might be a franchise, but I heard they are not inexpensive. Good Luck
