Default Rotor Question

I am looking into painting the calibers on my Silver 09 GT/CS...Color opinions? Anywho, while I'm in there I would like to replace the rusting stock rotors with 1200 miles on them( I only drive on nice weekend days, but they still show rust, especially above and below the pad contact areas)...Can I replace them and not change anything else? I have also heard that taking off and putting on calibers with abs is serious...any input on this or a rotor suggestion?

Geeeez...Why replace the Rotors with ony 1200 miles on them. It's just surface rust and they all show it even if sitting for only a day or two. Hope you have a lot of $$$$$ , You will be changing rotars until the cows come home.!!!

I thought that aftermarket/upgraded rotors may not rust in the same manner...If they do, well forget that

I am keeping the rotors, just painting them...Do aftermarket/upgraded rotors rust on top and bottom of the area that the pad touched like stock rotors do?

I may be wrong but if you buy some after-market rotors that are Zinc plated they shouldnt rust like the stock ones! As far as your calipers... there are tons of threads on here about paint choices and brands... I vote for black calipers... Silver & Black look awesome together!

Yes they do. Just look at the cars that are driven. Keep the rotors.

I painted the non contact area of my rotors with Duplicolor high temp gray primer. They have lasted without rusting for over two years.
