Yes a shop installed it. It was dyno'd at 420rwhp @ 5815 rpm. There is more hp over 6000 rpm but we decided to not push it that hard... yet.

wouldn't it make sense to isolate the air intake? looks like it get direct engine heated air...
other than that, VERY nice

VERY Sweet...

I am surprised they designed the intake filter to be placed over the header tubes though... draw in that HOT air.

Nice little minor mod you got there, I'd love to take her for a minor spin

==wouldn't it make sense to isolate the air intake? looks like it get direct engine heated air...==

==draw in that HOT air.==

Look at the last picture, it's intercooled. The air temp going into the intake is rendered immaterial by the intercooler.

Beg to differ.

Yes it is intercooled, but the intercooler can only drop the temp a certain amount.

(numbers not real, just making a point)

So lets say 150` in
supercharger adds 100`
intercooler drops 100`
so 150 in to engine

Now add heat from engine

250` in
+ 100`
- 100`
250` in to engine

Why else would the kits claim to have better intercoolers than other companies?

found this read: http://www.gnttype.org/techarea/turbo/intercooler.html

That is true to some degree (no pun intended). The ambient temperature of the air around the intake point (air filter) is a significant factor, but there many, many variables involved on determining the effficiency of a heat exchanger (i.e., intercooler). That bachelors degree I have in Chemical Engineering did teach me a few things... and one of them was to not get into a detailed discussion of thermodynamics on a Mustang Forums board... it would put everyone to sleep!!! Let's just say that the intercooler would definitely work even better if the air entering the system was cooler.
