Actually the S197 platform was designed with a convertible in mind so 90% of the body stifness and support is in the body not the roof. Unlike the SN95 and other pony cars where the convertible is designed from the base coupe, they worked the other way around this time.

I know there's a guy on the forum who has a custom roof installed where it's one piece of glass up top. Think he paid 2500 or so? Looks effing sick tho.

CDC glassback roof. Ford started offering an OEM option for it on the 09+ for $1900 I believe.

ive always wanted a T Top on my stang. i like T tops on alot of muscle cars and that looks sweet, i like the targa to but idk about it as much as a t top
