another JBA instal issue. im stuck again

Default another JBA instal issue. im stuck again

yup im stuck again. i got the driver side bolted up now im having a problem with the pass side. how the hell do i get the new one in?! its immpossible!!! i got the old one out ok no problem. i removed the starter and MM with out any problems but when i go to put the new one in it gets stuck on the tranny where the starter bolts up and on the k looking thing.


any suggestions...

You have to insert it from behind the black k thing. It wont fit in the hole closest to the front of the car. Also orient it so that it is like its going to be installed, and it will go in. I could never get it through the hole in front of the black cross member.

still lost on what your saying. i tried inserting it through the rear foward. the are near the starter is where i tried to get it through. did u have to move the motor slightly to the driver side? i really dont wnat to tow it out of my garage if i cnat do this =(

From the bottom. BUt first thing. raise the engine and try and get it to fit, if not then raise the engine a little bit more. Or if you have a friend, have him move the engine over to the side a little and it will give you a lot more room to fit in.

Yeah I did have the same exact problem as you. Took me like 10-20 minutes to figure it out. If i remember correctly, I raised my engine pretty damn high. just about until the end of the plenum cover was touching the rear engine bay. I also had my friend move the engine over to the driver side as much as possible while i wiggled in the headers.
Get another pair of hands and it'll be like 100000x times easier

did u have to take the DS MM out again when u moved the engine to one side?

In order to get it to fit, you have to remove the starter and the passenger side motor mount bracket. Did you remove both of these?
