Default Shift lights

Ok so i have been thinking about getting the shift lights so i can just concentrate on the road while racing. What are good brands? I have heard of raptor before, but are there other good ones?

Go to AutometerGauges.com and Have a look at the Autometer Digital Pro Shift System Light (DPSS). It's a real nice unit and I'm thinking of putting mine in shortly ...

I have the Autometer DPSS (digital pro shift system) level 2. You can set shift points individually, launch control, brightness and five color settings. It's an excellent shift light. Worth every penny.

You will also need the AM tach adapter with this light so the setup will run you about $280 with accessories.

Don't manuals come with their own shift light or signal in the dash? I forgot I remember seeing it posted on here somewhere before.

The GT500 with the SVT cluster are the only ones
with the shift light in them.
Bypass the rest and get a Raptor FTW hands down.
No ?Tach Adapter? needed.....
Bout $79 shipped on FleaBay.com

Yeah, the 9117 adapter is required for all Autometer brand tachometers and shift lights. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=05lFAKN9uy4

The vid shows install on a 2V, it's even easier to wire into the underhood fusebox on the 3V.

The autometer ain't cheap but man is it nice!!

When I went to hook up my Raptor, I picked up all the needed
connections at the ignition coil with a homemade male/female
adapter from a S197 junkyard wiring harness.
Its true plug-n-play, no wire cutting .
Just simply unplug to remove it and there are no traces of it
ever being wired in.
I like non-destructive, easily reverse-able electrical mods......

I checked out the autometer website but there are sooo many options, levels, models! I would definitely want to set my shift point at 6300rpms for all gears and to hold the rpm's at the track for launch. The raptor is cheap and can be programmed to shift, but no track launch light right? With so many autometer levels, kind of hard to tell which one works best. I really do not want to spend too much $ though because i just bought a spoiler and a used body kit.
