Default Getting 20" Rims?? Pros and cons?

Hey guys Im picking up 20" chrome rims in few days, will i need new brakes or calipers or anything? Also what is the beefest tire you can put on a 20X9.5" rim? Is their anything I should be warned about?

I'm running a 275/35/20 tire and it fits perfect. Depends on the offset of your wheels....I've seen and heard of people running wider. I'm actually running a 24mm offset to clear Brembo Brakes and it still fits perfect with no rubbing issues.

My suggestion is not to go below 275 or you will be sorry. Unless that is you want to be able to rotate your tires. HTH

Almost forgot...
The 20's will kill your drag times....I just found this out first hand two weeks ago. My 60ft times were horrible pulling the 20's If you have any aspirations of drag racing keep your stockers or at most 18" with a set of DR's

I have 20" wheels on my car with Nitto NTSSS Extreme ZR tires with no complaints at all.

You mean NT555's? I have the same tire with no complaints at all for the money. Buy them from tires.com and get the certificate for free replacement. If you run over a nail or something they will replace them for free! I've had two of mine replaced--no questions asked with free shipping. Great customer service. HTH.

Deciding what tires to use based on what looks the best and what doesn't cause people problems is like picking out a girlfriend based on her driving record and credit report.

Mmmm I see that you have an 800 and a parking violation, sexy.

Get 20's and on the 9.5 inch rim all around? or just the back? get 275's for the back and the 255's for a 8.5 or 9 inch rim will work great. If going staggered you cant rotate and this should be considered when doing this. If not get 275 all around!!!!! Any Nitto, Toyo, or BFGoodrich tires will work great with the 20's and you wont need bigger brakes for the heavier 20's but might at some point want to get SS lines, Hawk HPS pads, and a HP brake fluid!!! post it up when done!...paint the calipers if you have not cause they will be more visible!
