Default why no HIDS???

When I went to the auto show in october here the 2010 mustang had projector Headlights that were Xenons. But right now its showing that HIDs are not avail on the 2010. Why can I get them on the 09 (they are reflector though) but not on the 2010. Also If they do come with HIDS in the future. Can a dealer add them. I dont want to just add an HID kit as the beam is usually bad and the stock headlight is not designed for HIDS and blinds the **** out of on coming traffic.

the 2010's dont have that metal shield like the 07s do. I have aftermarkets in my silverado and their fine, but they have a shield that covers the light. and aims it down.

I saw one with them at a dealers lot. They weren't aftermarket since it listed them on the sticker. They are kind of unusual looking.

My brochure says the HIDs are "late availability", like several other hot options (Track Pack!)

Why they are not standard is probably cost. They are about $500.

I wouldnt expect them to be standard. I was fully prepared to pay for them. Its just their not there. I love the way they change the front end too. The projectors are cool as hell. Love the light output on the vette too.

a dealer about 20 min away has two with HIDS according to the online sticker. Only problem is their grey. If one was Red and Black with cashmere I would snap it up tonight.

Brochure says that HIDs require the Security Package.
Which looks to be about $900...
