Default 06 gt burnout problem

I drag race it my 06 gt. Everytime i do a burnout before it will start to hop like a bitch! Its terrible at any time. Im not hitting the brakes hard at all so it shouldn't be locking up. What can i do so it will do a clean and easy burnout. I always gotta get out of a burnout cause it hops so badly.

First thing to look into is some Lower Control Arms (LCAs) They will control some of the wheel hop you are seeing. BMR, Spohn, CHE and Steeda all make several varieties. If you are lowering the car a considerable amount or thinking of getting a 1 piece DS, adjustable LCAs would be recommended.

Heavier wheels/tires will also help. So if you get some meatier rubber it will reduce the hop also.

Lower control arms and relocation brackets will most definitely solve the wheel hop. It did the trick on my car.

Do you have to get the bracket? if not are LCAs a simple unbolt/bolt install?

You don't need the brackets and can do lca's alone. That will solve most of your problem.

If the car is lowered the car will need relocation brackets to get the LCA's in the correct position (esp if lowered more then 1 inch)......if the LCA's dont solve the problem try a PHB .....if that doesn't work get new meats and poss a sway bar (assuming you have new shocks and springs). This way the axle cant go anywhere on you and keep the rear planted on the ground.

The LCA's are a very simple install and can be installed in about an hour with basic hand tools. This TacoBill how-to sticky outlines the install...
