Steeda Ultralights
I am going to buy a set of wheels very soon. I am looking into the steeda ultra lights. They are also only 199.95 each right now. Does anyone have any pictures of their car with these rims on it, or pictures of a mustang in general??
They say steeda ultralights, are they really any lighter then the FR500 wheels i would get from mike at cruizin concepts??
The address to the wheels i am looking at is right here -->

Also, steeda has a rim preview thing where you can see what their rims look like on a car. http://www.steeda.com/inc/wheel_selector.php

They aren't the lightest but far from the heaviest either. I run them because (wellll because they look good ) and I can swap one out cheaply when it gets curb rash, bent etc which is bound to happen eventually and they fit 305/35 drag radials. And they look good in black. What more can you ask for?

Man I wish I could find the answer to this. I have been going back and forth on the Steeda wheels for some time and the hang up is always, "How much does my stock 18" wheel weigh?" I can never find a positive answer on this. The last thing I read said that the stock 18" wheel was 23lbs. If that was true, then Steeda's wheel would be heavier which I can't believe.
I never thought finding out the weight of my wheel could be so difficult.
To those that have the Steeda wheels, are you able to feel the weight difference? I do like them for the money, but if it's not much of a weight savings I'd rather put the money into something better.

I went through all of these same hoops when trying to decide on a suitable rim/tire combo (weight vs. sizing).
The stock 18x8.5's are about the same weight as the 18x9.5 steeda ultralites (27#'s).
They are a great choice for size, weight, and price. I'm not even sure you can do much better.
