Anyone have a see through roof, and if so, what do you think of it? Is with worth the 2k premium?

Thanks in advance.

As in the glass roof option?? Or a no glass at all see through? If you mean the glass roof option, yes, it is worth the 2k. I have it, love it, everyone who sits in my car, loves it. I know a while back some company, maybe saleen, tried to make the glass roof, retractable, but i'm sure there are tons of issues with that, and I dont think it was every made to the public. But, love my glass roof, and very much worth it

Sorry if I wasn't clear but yes I meant the glass roof option. Since I live in SoCal, does the interior get too warm on sunny days, kind of like the greenhouse effect??

i personally have no experience with the glass roof but it has a coating on it that supposed to keep the interior cool. well at least it wouldn't get any hotter than with the standard sheet metal top.

It is a great option and the factory one has a sun screen you can close off to keep the heat out.

Its an option that will be highly desirable on it in the used car market
in a few years. The sunroofs were kinda like that as were the T-Tops
but the glass roof has one advantage, it wont leak over time and that
makes it a good resale option.

the only downside is that they can get chipped, like our windshields do. Would not be able to afford to just replace something like that if it got a little chipped

I located and drove a 2010 GT premium with the glass roof option, and as I thought there was a significant green house effect. Although there is a shade, it's still a see through type shade, and heat does come through more than I would like. It was about 85 and sunny today when I drove the car.
