Default Making engine into a 302?

hey i dont know much about engine upgrading but i ran across this on ebay and i always wanted a Saleen with a 302 engine in it, so instead of having to buy a crate engine, can you just buy this and it would be pretty much the same thing? How much does installation of one of these kits usually run?

i'm not too knowledgeable about engine work either, but unless there is some sort of voodoo involved, you can't turn a 4.6 into a 5.0 without boring out the block and getting larger pistons...

No, you can add cubes by adding stroke as well as bore, very little though with bore.

You've got a 3 valve, that's a low compression kit, which won't work.

That kit will work fine for your 3 valve car if it is supercharged, or you plan on supercharging. That is why the compression is lower. The displacement is made just by lengthning the stroke, and changing the piston. You do not need to overbore it.

Damn thats not a bad price though. Wasn't Saleem selling these kits for around $5K when they first came out?

Does Saleen make this kit, but with increased compression instead of decreased?
