Default Question about headlights

I was looking thru the Ford Mustang brochure and noticed that some had the headlights/blinker combo reversed like on this picture. Is it a prototype only thingy, is it an option? What's the dirt?

I watched Speed Channel's Mustang episode and they actually were driving Mustangs with each of the different headlight combinations. I can only guess that they were originally going to have the parking/blinker lights on the outside, but then changed their mind and reversed them for production.

I thought I was seeing things with some of the Mustang ads, but when I watched the Speed Channel episode, I noticed both types of headlight combinations.

I took this picture Sunday morning at a local Ford dealership. I parked my Mustang next to a 2010 GT. Seems like this is the actual headlight on the 2010.

Default Question about headlights

The Mustangs with the parking/blinker lights on the outside and the headlights on the inside are the optional HID headlights.

The dual complex halogen headlights are the standard ones (the headlights on the outside and the parking/blinker lights on the inside).

Thanks for clearing that up. I kind of like the standard ones better (as far as looks) . The parking lights do look good on the outside, but I don't like the headlights on the inside.

The sixxer front bumper looks so much better... almost like the current Shelby.

And yes, even though the red Mustang is a V6 it has the HID's, which I just figured out.

Has anyone seen these in person on a production Mustang yet? They aren't available on the built it yourself site as of today.
I was getting prices on all the options.
