Default gauges making noise?

I have a 2009 premium gt with 200 miles on it. Today I had my windows up with the radio off and i can hear a little motor/old clock sound and it appears to be coming from my guage cluster. Is this normal? My 05 gt had noisey gauges, but I only heard them when I shut the car off and they all went all the way down to the 0 position. But if you listen closey you can hear them all the time? Kinda drives me crazy? I have tried the search feature but Im not coming up with any helpful info.

Thanks Ricky

You're kidding right? Where do you guys come up with this stuff??? Everyday I find a new forum post that's weirder then the day before. LOL Anyway I don't see how gauges can make noise are you sure it's not coming from the CD changer, mine makes very soft noise can barely hear it and my 03 Expedition made same noise with the in dash changer but that was unnoticeable when driving too but both cars can be heard when turning off ignition.

I wish I was kidding, it's definetly coming from the gauge cluster.

they all do it. it's very quiet unless you are hyper-sensitive to that sort of thing. i sat in 3 different GT's at the dealer and listened for it, and it was there on all of them. just turn the radio on and you will be fine.

nothing weird about the question to me, thats what a fourm is for. i have 3 co workers with s197, 2 guys form another forum and we all have the same lil mechanical noise coming from the gauages...no biggie!

Thanks for all the reply's guys, I just wanted to make sure nothing was wrong with the cluster it self. My 05 GT wasn't as bad but it didn't have all the extra gauges and options that this 09 GT has. I guess I have to roll with the radio on.....there is way to many options on this thing, but I guess that it is a good thing!

Just put the top down and listen to the supercharger instead.

Oh, sorry, you don't have a vert and a supercharger? I'm sorry to hear that.

Mine does it sometimes, it's not consistent though.
