Default New Hood

I went by the Body shop today to see how much a new hood would cost me to get it worked and painted. They told me to look at Harwood but they didnt have the style I wanted. So I was looking at Trufiber 429 Boss hoods and that is what I really like. I was just wondering though he said it would save me some money to get one that would be pretty easy to sand and work. So are the Trufiber hoods pretty smooth and fit well

Well, that isnt what I would have liked to hear. So anybody know where you can get a hood that is similar to the Boss 429 hood or are they the only one that makes it. Cause I mean I really want this hood but I am not going to spend a butt load to get it done right. Now it doesnt have to be perfect but I mean I want something that isnt going to cost me 300 before paint

Youll get stories all over the place. If you get a fair and competent person to do the work, you should be fine. Im on my 3rd hood and it wasnt the arm and a leg some are claiming. If you need help with the hood let me know.

Sure, they make great surf boards. Lol.

Like MELOW says, a crafted shop can make those hood work.
It just ain't cheap...

When you say the BOSS 429, does it have the bulge in the middle like my Foose or is it just the big scoop being molded in?

I agree with Pascal and Joe....and i have a competent shop that can do the work but it will take some money to get it prepped for paint....other then that i love the style of the Trufiber hoods and the functionality (depending on which one you buy)

MRT-Direct has just the scoop you could add to your current hood:
[

Amd Cervinis also has the B9 hood kit that requires the included headlight and grill extensions.
