Default Leather

This is my first car with leather and vinyl interior.

There is about 3 years and 13K miles worth of wear on the front seats. Back seats are hardly ever used.

Is it normal for leather to start to wrinkle? I wipe the seats down every couple months with meguiar's wipes and the car is garaged never sits in the sun.

Well, some pics would help out. That way, we could give you a for sure answer. Going based on what you said, there should be a little wear. I have 30k on my car, and the drivers seat has slight wear, but not that much. Post pics and you'll get a "holy crap no it shouldn't look like that!" or "it's fine" response"

Hmmm...see mine doesn't wear there. Mine wears on the side where you rub it when you get in and out of the car. It doesn't look terrible. But again mine is not wearing there.

Mine wears on the side too. It looks terrible now.
I was wondering if it has to do with water? Rain coming in through the window?
I mean I realize it's the rubbing that you do every time you get in and out of your car, but maybe rain makes it worse?

I have red leather, and it's hard to find take-offs of those, so I'll just live with it.

Nope no rain or moisture. Just wear from sitting in the seat and using it.

I've been told that leather does this over time but just wondered what other people with these cars had to say about it.

I guess if it looks like hell in a few years I'll just have an upholstery shop redo the seats. Maybe go to cloth. Leather feels nice but it has some downsides.

I have almost 30K on my car with black leather and the driver seat where you get out as well as behing my right hip is getting worn big time. It's just how it is. **** can't stay nice forever. I use MEguire's cream. Nice stuff, requires some elbow grease, but it cleans nice and protects..

Thanks. I have been using the wipes every month or two when I'm driving the car. In the winter it just sits so I don't usually do much to it. I may give the cream a try when I'm done with the wipes I have.
