Default Chrome Rims Maintenance

I want to maintain my chrome wheels (which should be in tomorrow as long as UPS doesn't mess up).

Is there any products i should get for them, or special ways to wash them. I don't want anything happening to the finish.

Cheers,

Rob

I sware by nevr-dull made by eagle one!

1. avoid salt/snow
2. don't let brake dust build up. I clean mine atleast once a week on a non dd car.

I just wash mine with the same soap I use on my car. Maguiers Gold. I shammy them when I shammy the car. Do it on all my vehicles. No problems to date. They shine like mirrors.

I use McGuire's products mostly on my Mustang but I have used Mother's Car Care products in the past with good results. Check out their line of Tire and Wheel products. I would definitely keep some kind of Polish on them to help prevent rust.

Beleave it or not I have found that Tuttle Wax Chome polish is the best thing for them. I have used others encluding the ones listed above and have found it to be the best for maintaining an outstanding shine and ease of use. Also, don't wipe them with anything other than a microfiber to keep from putting fine swirl marks on them.

I will get the turtle wax. My rims should be here tomorrow. I will get all of that done and i definitely do not want swirl marks on my car.

When the rims come in brand new will there be any dirt or grime (from mounting and balancing at cruizin concepts)?
