Engine cover for '06?
I always like the looks of a nice V8, but would like it more if I didn't see pollution control juck strewn everywhere, so why didn't Ford plop a tasteful cover on top of the intake, if only to make a better first impression on potential buyers? Engine covers are standard on almost very other new car. Certainly the high-end stuff.
Gettna05....
As far as Ford is concerned... the Mustang is NOT High End... and.. they looked under the carpet for places to save $$$ building the car. (If you look under your trunk mat you will see what I am talking about - TAPE covering Holes!.. WTF!)
Besides... if Ford did everything that "Should" be done... there would be no money for the aftermarket people!
Just do a search in here for Engine Cover and you will find a couple of awesome units available.

Mustang has always been about value. Ford did an excelent job in the engineering and sells them to us for a reasonable price. I'd much rather deal with taped holes under the trunk mat or a plain looking engine than a poorly designed oiling system in the block, crappy brakes ect, ect...
