Default FRPP stingers and X - ? before I do it

Have frpp stingers and x pipe sitting at home - they're going on this weekend. So as usual I'm second-guessing myself and am reading more posts and now I'm worried I won't like the sound. Some posts say their set-ups are perfect, some say raspy, some complain about the drone, some don't.

So...can anyone calm of confirm my fears while I can still turn back? I will have to answer to "The Treasurer" if this turns out bad!

well....it wont be as deep as an h-pipe setup and will be on the raspy side. How it sounds is personal opinion though.

I want deeper. Should I leave stock H pipe on?

"If" you put high flow cats on it will sound great. If not you mite not like the raspy effect your going to hear.

The stock H will give you a nice deep sound that's louder than stock but not as loud if you were to do the X

dammit. listening to them on you tube i like the stock h better (i think).

wasn't looking to wake up the neighbors - just something louder/deeper than stock that looks good too.

The reason I have my Steedas now is b/c someone had them on their car for about 700 miles and decided to put an x pipe on, he said he hated the sound b/c it was really loud so he put the stock mufflers on and sold the Steedas to me for cheap.

Not to thread jack, pretty much a Mustang newbie and I just joined. But I will tell you my experience with an x-pipe and cat back exhaust with 2.5in pipe installed and we don't like it at all. Stock H pipe with the Imco mufflers we had sounded wicked. I was hoping to get a little extra whp with the X-pipe and even a little more sound out of it and I got the exact opposite. Slower and toned down on the sound. Maybe different on your never Mustangs but for my wifes car, didn't turn out so good.

Not sure what I'm going to do at this point. I'd think twice about your x - pipe though.
