MGW Short Throw Shifter - how do I adjust the height?
So I had a shop install an MGW Short Throw Shifter for me a few weeks ago and it...is...AMAZING. But I'm sure all of you already know that, lol. Anyway, I know the height and "shortness" of the throw can be adjusted. The throw is plenty short (7 turns I believe), but I'd like to experiment with adjusting the height of the shifter, just a little bit.
Bearing in mind that I didn't do this install myself, can anyone give me a quick crash course in what I have to do to change the height of the shifter?
Thanks guys!

take off the rubber boot from inside the car and you will see where the ****/shaft is sitting in just loses that screw with an allen key and you can slide the shaft up or down

This picture illustrates what deekum said in his last post. I just installed this shifter in my car tonight, and I set the **** as high as it would go, but I'm thinking about lowering it a bit. Basically, like deekum said, you loosen the two hex bolts holding the shift **** handle (the handle closest to the back end of the car) in place and adjust the height...it's that easy. You just have to pop the leather out of the console first.

Those were borrowed from TacoBill's writeup which were also borrowed from the MGW install video haha.
Does the MGW "break in" at all?
I took my car for a spin late tonight and was powershifting perfectly all over the place, except I grinded 3rd once because I got lazy. MGW + k-member brace w/tq limiters = MONEY.

Well I went back and adjusted the height of my shift **** and found the result to be pretty surprising. I figured a really high shift **** would give me added benefits of an easier throw because of the greater leverage of the longer shift handle. What I found in my first drive was rackety notchiness.
"Umm ok this is pretty sweet. Short throws are supposed to be notchy, and I'll just get used to it."
Meanwhile, my shifting felt like I was engaging and disengaging the parking brake.
I couldn't fall asleep without testing a hunch. Maybe a shorter handle will solidify the movement a bit, albeit at the cost of the ease of the throw. I shortened my handle to near stock height...and then pretty close to the lowest it could go (which isn't much lower than stock anyway), and I found that shifting has tightened up quite nicely.
I'm extremely pumped to go driving tomorrow...
PS. To anyone considering a short throw shifter, I hadn't installed anything more complicated than a cold air intake and axlebacks before I took on the MGW install. I think I nailed it 100%, and it really wasn't that difficult. MGW lays out the install in very manageable steps, and as long as you don't get ahead of yourself, it's almost impossible to screw up.

Wow thanks for all the help guys! I could definitely follow deekum1627's writeup and before I even had to give it a try, pics were posted. I'll have to give this a shot over the weekend. And to East87, I had the same reaction upon driving with the MGW for the first time, but I've had it for about 3 weeks and I'm not sure if it "broke in" at all, or if I'm just used to it, but it doesn't seem as notchy anymore today.
