Default lost the wheel lock key

damnit.

So i was tidying up after taking the wheels off and on and now I cant find the key.

Best part is, the sheet that comes with the key lock with the serial # has gone missing too.

Can the dealer even figure out which key will fit the lock if I take it there?

Or will vice grips be my best friend ?

TIA

Dealer might be able to help, check them 1st. If not then a Goodyear/Firestone should be able to remove them with no wheel damage, but ***** can the locks after that.

I had to have a door panel replaced due to some dealer carelessness, and my key was in the panel, they had to break the studs to get the locks off. . .

I was using mine today... to try rotating the tires. Put it on, and the inside of the key sheered right off. I was able to pick the pieces out of the actual lug, but damn! I need a new key now too!

A socket slightly small and a big hammer will do it.

Yep, thats how we used to do it at my old shop. Smaller socket, hammer, and I nice impact will zap those lugs right off. They will have to be replaced of course.

planning for the worst here

but 9/16 = the normal size, what would be the ideal smaller size ?
