With the option Security Package you get an alarm that goes off if the system is armed and someone reaches into the car. In addition according to dealer the alarm will go off if the front or back of the car is raised while it is armed. He could not answer about glass break.

No glass beak sensors with the OEM alarm.
But the PATS system requires you to tow the vehicle to steal it.
Nothing stops smash and grab besides a pristeen clean interior
devoid of camera, cell phones, nav systems, wallets and the like.
If you must use your stang as storage, at least use the trunk.

Would you recommend keeping the default security, or buying a two way venom with perimiter sensor and glass break sensor? I wanty car to have the navi in it. Does that have some kind of feature where you can take the screen out? Like a faceplate kindof. I'm pretty paranoid about security because someone broke into my car and snatched a bag laying on the passengers seat.

Most aftermarket alarms will just go off at all the wrong times, like when big trucks or Harleys go by. I always recommend the factory alarm over any dealer-installed unit.
If you need the motion detector be prepared for false alarms.

The new Mustang has a portion of the center console that locks, so keep any gadgets in there.
Best defense is having nothing visible, the stock navigation unit (which isn't as attractive to crooks as the high end aftermarket ones) and a car cover.

Heya I purchased the security package with my vehicle and it works great. However I also added a LoJack system, let's just say nothing beats lojacking. Garunteed recovery within 5 minutes of activation if the vehicle is reported stolen or your money back. Now THAT'S a garuntee.

Yeah, but lojack doesnt work everywhere. And not all cops have the reciever thing, but I'm probably still going to get it. Just to be safe.

So what did the dealer charge for Lojack? I was planning to just rely on the Factory system.

LoJack dont work in underground parking garages or inside of
the back of a semi. Its like sat radio when you go thru a tunnel
or the covered drive thru at the bank. Remove the battery and
the Lo-Jack is defeated. Easy enough. Guaranteed.
The PD around here dont even know what Lo-Jack is needless
to say they dont have the expensive tracking equipment in their
vehicles. So Lo-Jack is null and void around here. Guaranteed.
