Oh u had a trade. I think that's an whole new ball game to negociate, as it opens a lot of room for "additional" profit for the dealer. An another opening might be financing, I eard of dealers offering low prices when they can "rape you" on the financing.

I didn't tell them I had a trade untill the price was negotiated and I have my own financing through USAA. You should always negotiate your price first before telling them you have a trade and try to have our own financing set up because they can actually quote you a rate higher than what you should get and slpit the difference with the bank. A lot of people get caught up in what the payments will be...never dicuss that with them, instead concetrate on the bottm line.

Same here. I did not mention my trade until the end. But, I am doing X-plan as I said so there really wasn't much negotiating room anyways. but they offered me $1500 more than the next highest dealer because my car is always serviced there and it's just so damn clean.... saleman's words

I had also thought about that color combo as well because I was thinking a black car with grabber blue stripes would be really different

Ok, so what exactly is this XPlan Pin about? This is the first I have heard of it. My out the door price was $34K. $1K rebate plus $1,200 down.

Basicly, if you are a Ford employee OR share holder you qualify for Xplan which brings the car at invoice + current rebates. I personally bought 1 Ford share at $5.5 and received my Xplan pin by Ford. So far my car is MSRP-$1000-$2500ish, no trade ins.

I was so spiked that it worked that I went on and bought more shares. I guess it's a win/win for Ford and I.

Wait, so is it just as easy as you say. I can just go buy some ford stock and then I am emailed or mailed the Xplan pin?

I opened an Ameritrade account and bought 1 single Ford share (Code "F"). I called Ford 1 800 number and told them I was a shareholder I wished for an Xplan PIN. They transfered me and the gal on the phone emailed me a form.

I faxed the form back with a print out of my Ameritrade purchase. Two days later, I received an email with my Xplan PIN. Brought email to dealer, he said about $2.5K for my car.

Ford gets shares purchased, Dealer get a car out of the lot, you get a pretty significant rebate. Talking about Ford shares, they were $1.5ish 4 months ago, not at $5.7ish, if u'd bought 1,000 shares, u'd spend about $1,500, now worth $5,700 ... in 4 months. ... and an Xplan.
