Meguiars Scratch-x works great but to get a real clear answer go to www.Meguiarsonline.com and ask your question there. You may find several threads already on that topic of eggs.

Here is a thread about your problem: http://meguiarsonline.com/forums/sho...&highlight=egg

Well guys, I appreciate all the help and advice, but I got her looking decent again. I put on some of that Trucolor 2 in 1 touch up, then dabbed a little paint thinner to even it out. Unfortunately, it doesn't look 100%, but it certainly looks better than it did (after the egging...). ****ing ********. Egg could've been used for so much more...omelette...scrambled...hard boiled...devilled.

I think I'm actually less happy with the touch-up smear then the scratch itself. I guess in the distant future I'll have the fender repainted at a body shop. Eggs should be banned.

I see...so what do you recommend I do legion? I don't think I'm going to give it a perfect fix in the near future, as there are SO much cooler things I could be buying with the money I'd spend repairing that, but long term, what do you think?

I'd file an insurance claim and ask for it to be repainted. Like some one else mentioned, it's vandalism so you're rate will not go up whatsoever. I have allstate and unlike my Saleen which has 0 accidents my stock v6 has been vandalized two times in mall parking lots. Just call up your insurance agent and they'll guide you through the simple process to get money from them. I assume you have insurance right?

Right, state farm. The incident does count against the car's resale value, though, doesn't it? And my touch-up won't affect the overall paintjob, will it?
