Ricer??? Say it isn't so!!!
Ok... Having a debate with the wife... I want to get true duals on OUR V6... It's not mine...She owns half of it... Including half the debt!
Wife says I'm being a ricer (making the car look/sound) meaner than it actually is... I'd also like to get a CAI and a tune done... Maybe some bigger tires/rims also... Probably talking about 2K in mods....
So...what's all of your opinion.... Am I a ricer??
I think my wife doesn't want me to do any mods because:
A) $$$$$
or
B) $$$$$

2K more for a GT than what I paid... Uh... no way around here....
From edmunds website:
List on the V6: $28,715
List on the GT: $33,175 (from edmunds)
Diff: $4,460
I got my V6 for $27,500 and the dealers were NOT dealing on the GT's here in St. Louis. Most of them were marking up above MSRP but to be fair, I did find dealers who would sell GT's for MSRP. So the diff between what I paid and list on a GT was $5675
That's alot of mods guy! And an extra 2K in mods on top of what I paid 27500 = 29500.
Not to mention that the mods I'm talking about would still have to be done to a GT anyway:
CAI
Flowmasters (Also,, to be fair in comparison this would have been cheaper to get installed than what I need done to my V6, but only by a couple of hundred $$$$)
Plus the wheels...
That would bring the GT up to ~35K...

Too funny Mr. Roper!!!
I hope the GT'ers don't take offense to my post. If you have the bucks, I say go for it...But for me and my family, the best option was a V6. If I was going to get exactly what I wanted and money was not an issue, I'd get this...

Some day..after the kids are outta college...and I win the lottery!

V6 duals do not a ricer make The single exhaust sticking out the back is the biggest problem I had with the V6. It just doesn't look right, a Mustang needs two pipes out back regardless of what motor it's running. And it sounds great, no one is going to confuse it with rice.

LOL! Yeah, that's the spirit! Here's some more ammo:
- Increases the resale value
- Improves gas mileage
- Provides improved rear end protection in the event of an accident
None of this is true of course, but in the interest of getting those mod's it's time to pull out all the stops You'll need those bigger rims and tires for improved wet weather driving too

I have the duals, the CAI and too many other mods to list on my V6 and don't think of mine in anyway a ricer. The twin tips "balance" the backend of the Mustang in my opinion. Now if you switch out the single existing muffler for a fart can, now that might head you down the slippery slope.
