Pre-painted or Not
I want to buy a hood scoop and louvers and wondered if i should order them already painted or order them plain and take them to a body shop and have them painted there
id go the pre-painted route since it will probably be cheaper and the paint will match up exact. they paint a lot of parts at once so the cost for paint isn't as high as a body shop will charge you to paint 1 or 2 parts

My quarter window louvers and side scoops were prepainted and a perfect match. My rear window louvers were painted by a body shop and are also a perfect match. But the prepainted items are cheaper as stated above.
Prepainted if Roush does it.
Robot painting for a consistant finish.
They paint one color and paint that color all day.
Then swap to another color and paint another sheitload
of Roush parts that color.
Bodyshops have to mix a little paint for the little hoodscoop
job and thats when its hard to match.
Its like matching 6 gallons of custom mixed paint.
You gots to mix em together in a 5 gallon pail to
blend them so there are no slight differences in color
when you get back to where you started from...
