Default sct stuff...

so i started pokin around with my sct tuner with 89, 91, and 93 custom tunes from brenspeed and i noticed everything is the same for all em. all set with the same spark, same WOT A/F ratio(0), axle ratio(which is set to default which puzzles me if i had to tell em what i had), tire revs/mile, all have the speed limiter off, set to rev limit at 6800 rpm, idled at 850 rpm. i know i feel a difference with my car tuned but how in the hell are these custom?! i know my car just has an intake/exhaust atm but do yall think i was just mailed a tuner?! thanks yall.

no, i have the same thing on mine and i got the tuner separate then ordered the tunes. so when i installed the tunes, those same options were at the stock levels. i got mine from bama chips and they apparently are the same. you would have to ask brenspeed or bamachips whether or not those options are modified in their tunes.

Interesting. That's a good question for Brian from Brenspeed. Since he's on this forum...

YO, Brian! How about it?

You can't read the tune with a xcal. You can however alter some paramters if the tuner has not locked them out. This prevents tune theft

You could put Brenspeeds tunes into any Xcal and sell them as your tunes.
Tune theft is a number one priority in the state of california.
The fines and mandatory jail times are mighty stiff.....

IMO, all of them are "canned" tunes.....that's why they can email you a tune while you are on the phone with them......if you have more than a cai and a catless exhaust, i would highly recommend a dyno tune...brenspeed and bama do it for there power adders and bolt-ons(cams....lt's)

So if you changed your rims from the stock 17's to 18's what should I change the tire revs/mile to?

no cause the overal diameter of the rim/tire is almost the same...the rim gets bigger but the sidewall on the tire gets smaller

Those are just the adjustable options that you can make yourself. They have nothing to do with the actually tune, that would be the whole "custom" part.
