I just did one for my car, a little differently. The bag holds my SCT and some tools. I want to put a pony emblem in the middle.

Good luck with your project.

I used some of the "mending plates" from Lowes that you use to connect two pieces of wood. Just used two of the plates and the 4 screws each, drilled through the bag and into the trunk cover wood. It gives enough support to the bag that the screws won't pull through because of the 3" steel plates.

The bag is actually for a video system so it is padded to protect the SCT Xcal and I think I picked it up at Wal Mart for $15.
