Default factory navigation do-able?

I have a 06 GT with a shaker 500 and ive read through pages and pages of threads...i dont really care if an error message pops up on start up as long as it works like it should after programming? Is it possible or even worth the head ache to have one? i prefer the stock nav over an aftermarket but wonder if its do-able...anyone who has already done this...please chime in

i will save you money and time. Go after market. I have the alpine 505 with the p-1 nav. it is a flush mount looks better than stock has a bunch of cool features-- electronic speedometer-- etc etc and you can watch dvd while in traffic... love it. Kenwood puts out a great product as well and is a bit cheaper. The OEM units will cost you 2x for a far inferior product... so do your research-- also the aftermarket hu give you a better sound out of your stock speakers.....
