Default SLP LM

I'm going to order pypes MM and will order axleback a bit down the road.

This SLP LM from AM is it SLP LM1? Because my friend told me to check if it's LM1 or 2 because 1 is a lot more louder.

Also would I have any problems matching up the pype and SLP?

Thanks.

I think LM 2 is not available for S197. I think it was resonators where the mufflers go on a New Edge. For the S197, it's just exhaust tips.

I think the LM1 is what you linked. The LM2 or powerflo i think it may be, is a through style muffler like the stingers. LM1 would be louder because it is a muffler delete, just stright piping.

The MM system from pypes come with a axleback muffler delete. Do you mean that you are going to replace that axle back with the LM down the road? If so, i do not see why you would have any problems doing that. People have ran in to issues with the overaxle pipe with fitment and rattleing issue.

I picked up a set of M-80s form pypes (49.00 each) and welded them in myself closer to the Mid pipe. There was more room up there and not right under the gastank and the away from the lowset point on the drive shaft to the road. I have MAC on now but looking to get LM which will bascily be a home made MM system. I know there is a couple guys who did just what i am doing, a home made MM system.

the link is LM axle back muffler deletes.
SLP does not make LM2 for the s197. in previous years the LM1 was a resonator without packing material so it is loud. the LM2 comes with a resonator with packing material so it is not as loud. the LM2 resonator is much like the M80's bc it is straight thru with the packing material.
you will be better off getting LM axle backs and just the M80 mufflers and have them welded in the over axle pipe before the rear end, since that is your plan in the long run. as eslhockey92g said, sometimes the over axle pipe comes too close to the frame and can rattle, the stock over axle pipe fits better.

Thanks for your answers guys.

To get this straight... I'm looking at m-80 mufflers now from summit racing, if I order 2 of those, order LM, and use the stock over axle pipe i should be good for the mid pipe and catback for my exhaust?

BTW I'm ordering kooks lt headers and o/r h pipe, will that setup work good?
