Lightweight Battery For DD

Lightweight Battery For DD
I've done some searches and found some posts about Odyssey and Braille batteries, which are 20+ pounds lighter than the stock OEM batter in our cars.
Has anyone actually installed a lightweight battery that works well for a daily driver? My car isn't quite a daily driver, but I do drive it every week. I want a reliable battery that can sit for a week or two (like I can do with my stock battery) without having to use a battery tender/trickle charger.
I'd like to get some input from folks who've actually installed lightweight batteries. I've already found enough specs (weight, amps, etc.) online for the Braille and Odyssey batteries.

Dont think there is an issue as long as you dont go for the smallest batteries they sell. I am running the B2317 and it cranks up with no problems even after sitting for few weeks. Now I am not going to tell you I trust this battery as much as a standard battery. If I was driving my car all the time I would go with a regular size battery.
I carry a bunch of spares to the track which includes another battery so I dont worry all that much... They are really light though and are comparable in price to a Optima Red Top etc..

Thanks, Hootna. The Braille B2317 is one I'm considering, since it is over 20 lbs. lighter than the stock battery.
Actually, if you're able to get reliable starts after 2 weeks of sitting, that addresses my biggest concern. If I'm driving the car regularly (so that the alternator keeps it well charged), should I be even better off?

You know I dont know enough about there batteries to say.. I dont want to recommend it all I can say is it starts my car after sitting and it is way lighter.
I had a trunk mounted battery and a cable shorted... My Redtop would not fit up front or I would have put it in the stock location. So I decided what the heck why not get a light battery as I use my car for the track and would have the redtop to jump it...
6 months ago I would have told someone that it wasnt smart there are better places to save weight. I still believe that but my car is not a daily driver.
UPDATE... Got home decided to check if my car would start.. been sitting 4 weeks or more.. started right up...
