Default 2010 GT shifter Ball Replacement

How do I remove the original silver Shifter Ball on the new 2010 GT? Does it just un screw??? I am replacing mine with a white ball as here in San Antonio the silver one gets ay too hot. Plus I like the look of the retro white ball. Its a daily driver that my wife drives so no need for the short throw shifter..just switching out *****.

Thought so, but didn't want to try and unscrew and break something in case it was pinned or something. Thanks!!

Good choice. I like the white shift ball as well, but I suppose I'm biased. Post pics with it installed! Interior of my '68 Fastback:

Nope - got mine from American Muscle...Paid 29 for it. They have the black , white, Silver and Chrome *****. I took off the old one (be careful as it has some sort of locktight on it that makes it hard to get off) and then I screwed on the lock nut and then the Shifter ball and snugged the locknut to hold the ball in the right positon. Simple!!
