Shaker 1000 Upgrades?

Shaker 1000 Upgrades?
I think I am going to keep my Mustang.
Extremely unhappy with the "shaker 1000" sound quality.
What upgrades have some done, and your thoughts on before/after SQ?
What are the sizes and locations on all of the factory speakers?
Is the amp located inside the trunk sub box?
Is it "plug n play" if throwing in a new amp/subs in the trunk, or will alot of wiring need to be done?
