Default strut tower brace question

i've been wanting to get a strut tower brace for a while now. I don't have an engine cover or anything so i'm not worried about clearance on that side, but has anyone had any problems with the brace hitting the heat shield under the hood. just looking at it, it looks like there isn't enough space under the heat shield for a brace. any help?

Just get the frpp brace, same as Bullitt. Won't hit the heat shield and will fit over a plenum cover if you decide to put one on.

I have the frpp brace with no problems. I have the manifold cover with the throttle body extension on. They are all for sale in excellent condition (only3-4k miles on the parts) . I am putting a saleen SC and the STB will not fit over it and obviously I do not need the covers... here is a pic:

(unfo I do not have a pic with the plenum handy but fits perfect)

PM Me if you are interested.

Depends what you expect...You can fill it ties you front end particularly on sharp turns.. and they look good under the hood.

they look good, I'll agree with that, I just didn't think they were actually very functional. for the price, it doesn't really matter, they look good.

I feel the handling felt tighter after the install....Even if it's in my head it was a good enough improvement
