Hey can anyone tell me if the new 2010 FRPP axle back kit #M5230-MGTC is the same as the old GTA's or is it the same as a Stk GT500 exhaust system? Called FRPP and they were of little help, I'm looking for louder than stock but not too loud. Been there done that with my 91 LX.

what part of ky you from.. i'm in northern ky and I have an 07 GT with the shelby gt mufflers (GTA's)

 

Just moved to the Louisville area about a month ago. Your combo is what I am looking to put on our GT. From what I understand though the 2010 requires a longer exhaust tip than the 05-09 models. FRPP says the GTA will not work, tips would be to short and could melt the rear fascia.

 

i haven't heard any muffler sound better then them slp loudmouths...

 

you could always extend the piping... take it to a good muffler shop it shouldn't cost much to do it.

 

I wonder if anyone who has changed their axle back ( Flowmaster, Corsa,Borla etc.) exhaust has had any issues using a kit designed for 2005-2010. Not just specific to the 2010 year like FRPP. Surfing youtube I've seen several 2010's with axle back kits and they look like a perfect fit.

 

The 2010 requires longer tips to make it out the back. if you don't you run the risk of warping the rear fascia from the heat of the exhaust tips because they will not extend far enough.

i went with the Roush exhaust system.... sounds bad-***

 

The Roush do sound good, any drone with them?
