Default PLEASE HELP!!!

So I live in a city where the cops have NOTHING better to do than to sit and hide and pull you over for minor crap. I got a ticket for my tail lights since I used VHT night shades spray. Does anyone live here in the San Francisco Bay Area that would be willing to meet up and swap tail lights for a few minutes so I can have a cop sign off on it? Or do you maybe have another idea? I live in Walnut Creek. Thanks guys

well, check your law first of all. you might have a leg to stand on.

secondly, I know it's not what you need RIGHT NOW to hear, but buy a second pair and have it on hand.

Yeah that's the option I will probably have to go with. I figured I would try to do it the free way first and if no other options I'll have no choice but to buy another pair. Damn it.

You can just photoshop normal taillights onto your car, take pictures, and get it dismissed.

Has anyone actually ever done that? I thought you had to show your car to a cop? That would be awesome and a big time saver if it could actually work. I'll also need to photo shop the tint off of my front windows if that's the case. Help anyone?

I'm going to just say it...even though I feel like an *** for doing so

why not just have your car be legal in all respects?

the phrase "Once Bitten, Twice Shy" seems applicable. I despise giving the Gov't free money, so I usually give them no reason to ticket me.

Good point. Not to mention the safety aspect, which I'll mention. I have nearly run into the back of a couple of cars that hit the brakes suddenly and I couldn't see the brake lights because they were tinted so dark.

I wonder how the court would look at you lieing to them about fixing the lights. I think you could be looking at a lot more trouble.

Another good choice, would be to GTFO of San Fransisgayland!!

For now, you could always wet sand the lenses with 800 grit and buff them back out to their red factory look.
It's free, if you have a Makita buffer or similar.
Then you can respray lighter later...

It works, that's how I resurrect yellow plastic headlight lenses.
