Default Private Party & Trade Value

I am thinking about diving into a 2010 Mustang GT..

I currently have a 2007 Mustang GT Vista Blue with 29,500 Miles, in "Good" condition, but given the mileage it should pass for Excellent. I never tweaked anything pertaining to the Drivetrain. I added the White 10 Inch Le Mans Stripes from Baltimore Mods, Agent 47 Mirrors, and the Rear Blackout Panel. See my photo album, I dont know how to attach a photo..url option keeps popping up. What should I expect on Trade, and what should I expect Private Party. Thanks in advance for the input.

Based on Options & Mileage

Blue Book: Private Party
Excellent - $23,090
Good - $21,890
Fair - $20, 340

Blue Book: Trade
Excellent - $20,675
Good - $19,625
Fair - $17,725

I just traded in my 2007 Mustang GT Convertible with 29,355 miles. Mine was white with red stripes, roush hood scoop, CS side scoops and roush rear spoiler. I got $21,800 for my car. IMO my car was in excellent condition. I used KBB for my reference and it was pretty close. Not may dealers will give you excellent as a trade in. I would count on the PP $21,890 or the trade in of $19,625.

I took off most of my upgrades before trading the car in.

Good Luck...

Before you go to the dealer, take your car to CarMax if you have one near you. I have sold two cars to CarMax and made out much better than trading in to a dealer. At least you will know where you are before you go to the dealer.

I would hold on to your GT until next year when ecoboost GT comes out. IT will be better.

just got back from carmax. this is the second time i've taken a vehicle there to get appraised for them to buy it. The first time they tried to screw me on my truck and today they tried to screw me on the GT. Huge waste of time. They offered me $15k even. KBB tradein value is slightly over $20k, i know its not right on but its a good reference point. Bottom line, i'm never going back to carmax again.

Ouch. That's absolutely ridiculous.
