Anyone else have this problem?
When opening my door like a human, the "auto down" feature does not react quickly enough, so my window hits the plastic window guard. I tried the "recalibration" to no avail. I would take it to the dealer, but I can hear them already "just open your door slower, that will make it go away". Just wondering if anyone had this succesfully fixed.
Ya cant be human with a Ford, they is different animals. I just try to open the door a crack, let the window drop, then open as per human. I teach this ettiquate to all new passengers as well.
^^^ what he said... I open my doors normally... but then I usually have the top down... the times I have had it up, I have not had a problem... I say take it in to the dealership... maybe they have a fix
Mine works just fine. I've been hanging around this forum since february and this is the first I've heard of it so I don't think its' a common problem. I think you should take it to the dealer.
STANMAN, I know what you mean. Mine doesnt open up as quick as I would like either, kinda bothersome. I bet you cant wait until winter either. That feature should work real well when the window is iced over! Lets see, I cant get in my car or I poped the breaker or I burnt up the motor. I am still waiting to hear back from Ford on that issue.
Mine is my daily driver and I leave town for days on end and the car stays in the weather at the airport. So this feature has me concerned. I may have to do the car cover thing is it becomes a real issue since in door parking isnt an option.
Mine does the same thing. More so on the driver's side than the passenger's.
Anyways, I asked them at the service shop about it and they looked into it. They couldn't find anything to do to fix it, but they did check the other Mustangs on the lot and they said that they all did the same thing.
I am satisfied if it is that way with that many of them.
I open it slowly now anyways... I've developed that habit. I'm just glad it's better on the passenger side, since my rider may not know how to do it right.
