JLT Replacement Filter
Can someone give me source for a replacement filter for my JLT2? I've searched and have come up empty. JLT wants $50 from their website. Is there any cheaper out there?
Thanks!
Thanks!
after I apply the cleaner and rinse it out I shake it until most of the water is out and then I set it out on the drive way in the sun, here in south Florida it only takes about 30 minutes and it's dry, then lightly spray the filter with the oil and your done.
Oiling the filters is not that hard.
Two things to remember
1) two thin layers is better than one thick layer (this messes up MOST people)
2) DO NOT SPRAY THE INSIDE. (that cracks me up when people say they did that)
My old stang had an oiler in it for 4 years. No problems whatsoever.

well, i went ahead and decided to clean it. i didn't know it, but the oil that i comes with is an aerosol....how can you F that up?
man that thing was dirtier than i thought!! i know the box says don't use high pressure air or excessive heat to dry, but is there anything with setting it on top of my A/C unit outside? it's in the sun and will provide a little breeze

That is the way to do it
The reason you don't want to use high pressure air or excessive heat is that it will distort/shrink/mess up the cotton fibers that are squished in between the mesh. Once that starts happening the filter is junk.
Depending on how hot it is outside, give it a couple of hours to dry then reoil it.
